Hello, all BurningMan Virgins and Veterans!
Every year we call out our BurningMan Veterans to help prepare the Virgins for their first playa experience. All are welcome at this BBQ! We will share information on the 10 Principles and give everyone a chance to ask all the questions they have been dying to ask but didn’t know how!
We encourage as many Veterans as possible to come and share their experiences with the Virgins! We also invite theme camps to join us and share information about their camp with anyone who is interested. And we will do our best to educate everyone about one of most important BurningMan Principles, Leave No Trace.
The Virgins don’t yet know what playa time is so please come expecting the potluck (5pm) and meeting (6pm) to start on time.

THINGS TO BRING:

1. A DISH AND/OR DRINKS TO SHARE AT THE POTLUCK
  • This is a self-reliant, Burner do-ocracy, gift-economy style, Leave No Trace potluck! A Leave No Trace event means is that you are responsible for everything you need. Bring a cup, plate, napkin, utensils and afterward take everything you brought home with you…yes, even that container/bag that you brought your yummy food in.* If you bring something that requires a serving spoon, please remember to bring that too, and take it home with you!
  • Everyone knows Burners love bacon, but not everyone eats bacon, so please label your dish (vegi/omni) if it isn’t obvious!
  • Vegetarians: please feel free to be creative and try to out-do the baconatarians! Baconatarians: don’t you dare let them!
This is a private park so alcohol IS permitted.
2. DONATIONS FOR THE COSTUME SWAP
  • Please bring your extra costumes to share with the Virgins, and maybe you’ll find a special new something for yourself!
3. CHAIRS, BLANKETS, KIDS
  • This is absolutely a kid-friendly event! We will have some pop-up tents up so the event is rain or shine! If you have extra pop-up tents or folding tables please feel free to bring them. We will be there around 4pm if you want to help set up.

DIRECTIONS:

  • From Sheridan Ave (between I-70 and Hwy 36), go East on West 69th Ave for 3 blocks. The park is on the right at the first stop sign.
  • If you are going to Google map it, use W 69th Ave at W 69th Ct. DON’T Google NHLP.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email Denver@Burningman.com.
